League City to unveil new Web site

The city of League City will launch newly redesigned Web sites as well as its own Facebook and Twitter accounts on Oct. 1.
In addition to the city's Web site, the League City Volunteer Fire Department and League City Emergency Medical Service will each also have redesigned Web sites, city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt said.
It's going to be awesome," Wyatt said.
The city's Facebook and Twitter accounts are meant to further communication with residents, Wyatt said. The city's police department started using both in July.
We want to keep our citizens as informed as possible," Wyatt said. We want to give them instant information and Facebook and Twitter allows us to do that."
