Former Johnson Space Center director dies
Former Johnson Space Center director Roy Simmons Estess died Friday from an allergic reaction to an insect sting.
Estess, who served as director of the Johnson Space Center from 2001 to 2002, was 71. He spent most of his 37-year career with NASA at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.
