See video of hold-up in Wal-Mart parking lot
League City police have released Wal-Mart's surveillance video of last week's parking lot robbery.
The holdup took place around 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the store that's located at FM 646 and the Gulf Freeway. A woman had just pulled into the parking lot with a 4-year-old girl when a gunman approached her and demanded her purse, then fled in an SUV.
The first part of the video shows the SUV involved in the holdup, and the second part shows someone jumping out of the SUV, confronting the victim at her vehicle, then running back to the SUV and making his getaway.
Police believe the SUV is a tan or gold Chevrolet Suburban from the late 90's or early 2000's with a large winged hood ornament, possibly an angel. It has a sunroof, chrome 8-spoked tire rims and vents in the front fender wells located towards the top and rear portion of the fender well.
The gunman is described as a white man in his mid- 20's to early 30's, between 5 foot 6 and 5 foot 9. Police say he had dirty blonde hair and was wearing a white t-shirt with khaki shorts.
Police say the driver was a white woman in her mid-20's to early 30's with blonde hair. She was wearing a white tank top.
League City Police Chief Mike Jez said police don't have any suspects, but do have some leads that they are pursuing.
Those with information about the robbery are asked to call 281-338-8210.
