Friendswood plans 2 days of Fourth festivities

The 115th annual Friendswood Fourth of July Celebration will be July 4-5, with fireworks and live music on Sunday and a parade and park festivities on Monday.
The fun kicks off at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Centennial Park with performances by Rick Trevino and blues guitarist Hamilton Loomis.
Fireworks will start at about 9:20 p.m.
Parking won't be available at the park, so participants must take a shuttle starting at 6:30 p.m. from Clear Brook High School or Friendwood Community Church, 2821 Parkwood Ave.
The annual parade will start at 10 a.m. Monday, July 5, at FM 518 and Heritage Drive, proceeding down Friendswood Drive and ending at Stevenson Park, which will be the scene for a day of rides, food and entertainment.
The Zydeco Dots perform at the park, along with a variety of patriotic performances that will start after the parade and wrap up around 3:30 p.m.
