Community association fights plan for cabaret

The Clear Lake City Community Association is trying to keep a gentlemen's club from opening at Bay Area Boulevard near El Camino Real.
The Bay Area Citizen talked to the association's general manager, Leslie Alvarez, about the property where Luks Cabaret wants to open at 1055 Bay Area Blvd. That's next to Taco Bell where the Baja Party Bar used to be.
The deed restriction specifically states that no things of adult nature are allowed in that property," Alvarez said. No bottomless, no topless, none."
