Church receptionist's purse stolen
A church receptionist's purse disappeared while she was trying to help two men who claimed to have been robbed at gunpoint.
League City Police Lt. Bruce Whitten said the men walked into the church at 2450 E. Main St. in League City about 1:20 p.m. Thursday and said they needed assistance because they had been robbed the previous day in South Houston.
The receptionist gave them information about how they could receive help, and when they left, she noticed that her purse was missing. She suspected the pair had taken it.
The men were described as white around 30 years old.
One of them was 6-foot, 220 pounds with tattoos on both arms, one of which was a dagger or sword. He had scruffy facial hair and was wearing a camouflage cap, black t-shirt and blue jeans.
The other man was 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, weighed 190 pounds and had a shaved head. He had scruffy facial hair and was wearing a solid blue t-shirt and khaki shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to call 281-338-8210.
