Developer to showcase revamped high rise
After purchasing the Endeavour high rise on NASA Parkway, a developer has invested $2 million in improvements to the building and plans a June 15 light show to reintroduce it to the comunity.
The developer, John Gilmore of Austin, said, "We're trying to appeal to the empty nesters, to retirees, to high-end professionals from Houston who know the area and want to escape'' to a low maintenance lifestyle.
Upgrades have included new windows rated to withstand 200 mph winds, and the 39-story tower at 4821 NASA Parkway has been repainted, according to this article from the Bay Area Citizen. Other improvements have included addition of security cameras, repairs to the lighting system, and upgrades to the docks and marina behind the building.
The previous owner, Robin Parsley, filed for bankruptcy last May with less than half of the tower's 80 condos sold. Gilmore bought the remaining 44 condominiums for $9.5 million.
