The city of Clear Lake Shores will hold a June 15 workshop to discuss the fuature of the city's farmer's market, which its organizer says has outgrown its current location.
Clear Lake Shores Farmer's Market organizer Bonnie Taylor said space is a problem at the current site at 1020 FM 2094, according to this article from The Bay Area Citizen.
She also noted that the city plans to eventually turn the market site into a parking lot.
She's considering options such as a new location in the city or a partnership with League City. Clear Lake Shores Mayor Vern Johnson said that after providing $20,000 in funds and city land, the city should have a say in what happens to the market.
League City Councilman Neil Baron's dream is to create a farmer's market in League City's Main Street historic district, and he advocates a partnership between the two cities and the market.
