Man accused of punching roomate who wouldn't loan car
A League City man was arrested early Sunday morning after he was accused of punching a roommate who had told him not to borrow his car anymore, police said.
David Hartmann, 21, is charged with assault causing bodily injury involving family violence, League City Police Lt. Bruce Whitten said. He was taken to the Galveston County Jail and was released Sunday on $1,500 bond.
Hartmann's roommate, a 44-year-old man, told him not to drive his car anymore about 2:20 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Acacia St., Whitten said.
The man told Hartmann that he feared that his car could be towed because Hartmann had a suspended license, Whitten said.
Hartmann became upset and then punched his roommate in the right shoulder, Whitten said.
