Burglars hit League City doughnut shop

League City police are investigating the burglary of a doughnut shop in which $120 was stolen.
The break-in at Donald's Donuts, 2251 W. FM 646, occurred between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 3 a.m. Thursday.
League City Police Sgt. John Jordan said the crime was discovered when an employee arriving for work noticed that the shop's front-door had a broken lock.
The employee called police, who found that the shop had been ransacked, Jordan said. Money in the cash register and a tip jar were stolen, which consisted of $80 in coins and $40 in cash.
Police did not find any fingerprints but did take a cash bag that they believed was handled by the burglar, Jordan said. It was submitted to the police department's evidence personnel for testing.
Police have no suspects, and anyone with information is asked to call 281-338-8210.
