Roadwork alert: the pain that remains on I-45

Work to widen the Gulf Freeway in Clear Lake may be wrapping up this month, but we're not there yet.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation:
GULF FREEWAY
Only one northbound lane of I-45 will be open at night this week at FM 646 in League City. Two inside lanes are closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. until Thursday, June 3.
Lanes will be closed one at a time during the day in both northbound and southbound lanes of I-45, as well as the frontage roads, from FM 518 to Bay Area Boulevard. The daily closures, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will continue through Wednesday, June 30, except for Sundays.
One lane of I-45's northbound frontage road will be closed at Highway 96 in League City from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2.
CLEAR LAKE STREETS
Eastbound and westbound lanes of the NASA Parkway will be closed one at a time around Kobayashi. The daily closures, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. except for Sundays, will continue through Wednesday, June 30.
One southbound lane of Egret Bay Boulevard is closed until further notice from the NASA Parkway to El Camino Village.
