Clear Lake grad Lewis helps in Houston Baptist victory
Clear Lake High School graduate Rob Lewis scored 12 points as Houston Baptist University defeated the University of New Orleans 65-52 on its home court at Sharp Gym in Houston on Monday, Feb. 25, Baptist's website reported.
The freshman guard also recorded five rebounds and two assists for the Huskies, who improved to 12-14 on the season.
Houston Baptist's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Lewis is a 2012 graduate of Clear Lake High School, where he was a three-year captain for coach Tommy Penders at Clear Lake High School. He averaged 17 points, five rebounds and four assists per game in high school. The business administration major is from Clear Lake and is the son of Robert and Marla Lewis.
