Clear Brook grad Richardson plays in Oregon victory
Clear Brook High School graduate Fred Richardson III played for the University of Oregon in a 77-66 win at home over conference rival Stanford University on Saturday, Feb. 23 at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, the Oregon website reported.
The freshman guard helped the Ducks improve to 22-6 on the season and 11-4 in the PAC-12.
Oregon's next game is 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28 at home against Oregon State.
Richardson is a 2012 graduate of Clear Brook High School, where he was the all-time leading scorer with 1,820 career points in four seasons as a varsity player. He averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game in high school. The business administration major is from Houston and is the son of Fred Richardson Jr. and Ginia Hamilton.
