Clear Lake grad Sutherland plays in U.S. Coast Guard Academy loss
Houston native Victoria Sutherland contributed 12 points to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's 59-49 loss to conference rival Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Saturday, Feb. 16, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy website reported.
The 5-foot-9 freshman guard also recorded nine rebounds, three assists and one steal for the Bears, who are 10-14 on the season and 8-10 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy's next game is at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 on the road against Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Sutherland is a 2012 graduate of Clear Lake High School.
