Clear Creek grad Carter plays in Sam Houston State loss
Clear Creek High School graduate Nyha Carter recorded one rebound and one assist for Sam Houston State University in a 90-40 loss against conference rival Oral Roberts University on Feb. 14, according to Sam Houston State's website.
The Bearkats are 13-11 on the season and 9-3 in the Southland Conference.
Sam Houston State's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 on the road against the University of Central Arkansas.
Carter, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for Sam Houston State University, is a 2010 graduate of Clear Creek High School. The League City native was a three-time All-District 24-5A selection during high school and was named the district's Defensive Player of the Year her sophomore and junior years.
