198 applicants show up for two jobs

Last week, League City had 198 people show up for a civil service test.
The only problem was that the exam was for two police officer positions, Mayor Toni Randall said.
"It is amazing," Randall said. "It is really amazing."
Randall attributed the high turnout for the test to the difficulty of finding a job in the current lackluster economy.
"We've been kind of insulated here in our region, but I think that you'll see a slight shift in business," she said. "I think it will taper off here for a few months."
