New home builder to develop master-planned community in Clear Lake
Trendmaker Homes has announced the purchase of a 372-acre tract in Clear Lake.
According to a press release, "The future planned community will be located at the intersection of Clear Lake City and El Dorado boulevards and will be the first new homes built in Clear Lake since the 1990s. The land was purchased from Fidelis Realty Partners and company CEO Alan Hassenflu. In addition to selling the land, Fidelis plans to develop a high-end 300,000-square-foot neighborhood retail center near the entrance of the new community."
"Trendmaker is one of the finest master-planned community developers in our city with both land development and home construction divisions," said Hassenflu in the release. "They have produced numerous exceptional communities in the Houston region. We are totally confident that Trendmaker will maximize the value of this fine tract of land for the residents and businesses in the Clear Lake area."
Fidelis owns and manages approximately 40 shopping centers in the Houston area. In addition, it owns retail property in Texas, New Mexico and Louisiana, with headquarters in Houston. Trendmaker has been a Houston-based home builder and developer for more than 42 years. They plan to develop 690 homes sites for a variety of home product types in the new planned-community. The development will reportedly include a recreation center and a new school site.
