Clear Lake grad Beverly plays in California Baptist loss
Clear Lake High School graduate Jasmine Beverly scored 25 points, but her California Baptist University women's basketball team lost 73-69 to conference rival Dixie State College of Utah on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Burns Arena in St. George, the team's website reported.
Beverly also recorded 15 rebounds, two assists and three steals for the Lancers, who are 10-4 on the season and 4-2 in the Pacific West Conference.
California Baptist's next game is 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Grand Canyon University.
Beverly is a senior forward for California Baptist University in Riverside, Calif. She is a 2009 graduate of Clear Lake High School, where she played three years on the varsity squad. Beverly is from Houston and is the daughter of Chester Beverly and Veronica Beard.
