Clear Lake grad Sutherland plays in Coast Guard loss
Clear Lake High School graduate Victoria Sutherland scored eight points in the Coast Guard Academy's 59-45 home loss to conference rival Wellesley on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at New London, Conn., the Academy website reported.
Sutherland also recorded six rebounds and a block for the Bears, who are 6-8 on the season and 4-5 in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.
U.S. Coast Guard Academy's next game is 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19 at Babson.
Sutherland, a 5-foot-9 freshman guard for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, graduated from Clear Lake High School in 2012. She is a Houston native.
