Gas prices in and around Clear Lake were higher than the average for Houston but lower than the national average, according to data from the price-tracking website GasBuddy.com.

Visitors to the GasBuddy.com website reported rates at 114 gas stations in and around Clear Lake. As of Saturday, Jan. 12, the average price of regular unleaded gas in Clear Lake was $3.18 per gallon. GasBuddy.com listed the Houston average at $3.17, the state average at $3.17 and the nationwide average at $3.27.

The least expensive gas in Clear Lake was reported to be $2.97 for a gallon of regular unleaded, which GasBuddy.com contributors logged at Buc-ee's, 1702 E. League City Parkway.

A GasBuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas in the area was $3.45 at Shell, 1910 Nasa Parkway.
