Six Friendswood runners complete 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon

Six Friendswood athletes completed the 2012 MetroPCS Dallas Half Marathon on Sunday, Dec. 9 in Dallas.

The runners from Friendswood and their finishing times were Savannah Alaniz, 1:51:08; Rueben Alaniz, 2:11:54; Ashley Burges, 2:13:33; Katharine Wignall, 2:17:21; Andrew Bossert, 2:17:22; and Phil Bossert, 2:17:25.

Race organizers said 9,878 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which began and ended at Downtown Dallas.

Andrew Letherby, of Austin, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:09:45, while Ashley Johnson, of Dallas, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:21:37.
