University of Houston-Clear Lake to host lecture on seismic geophysics
Schlumberger's Data and Consulting Services Borehole Geophysicist Katie Mahoney will present Waves in the Earth, An Introduction to Borehole Seismic Geophysics at University of Houston-Clear Lake on Thusday, March 21.
According to a press release, the lecture is part of the university's Physics and Space Science Spring Seminar Series. It will begin at 7 p.m. in room 1218 of the university's Bayou Building.
The lecture is free and open to the public. Engineers, teachers and others may attend the lecture for credit for $15.
The University of Houston-Clear Lake was founded in 1974. The university offers 40 bachelor's degrees and 45 master's degrees through its schools of business, science and computer engineering, education and human services and humanities. A second campus is located in Pearland. University president is William A. Staples.
University of Houston-Clear Lake is at 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston.
