University of Houston-Clear Lake to host lecture on immune system

Rice University John W. Cox Professor in biochemical and genetic engineering Michael Deem will present a lecture titled Physical Theory of the Immune System on Thursday, Feb. 28 at University of Houston-Clear Lake.

According to a press release, the lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in room 1218 of the university's Bayou Building. The event is free and open to the public. Continuing education credit is available for $15. The lecture is part of the university's Physics and Space Science Spring Seminar Series.

The University of Houston-Clear Lake was founded in 1974. The university offers 40 bachelor's degrees and 45 master's degrees through its schools of business, science and computer engineering, education and human services and humanities. A second campus is located in Pearland. University president is William A. Staples.
