Clear Creek grad Carter contributes to Sam Houston State victory
Clear Creek High School graduate Nyha Carter scored two points as Sam Houston State won 75-58 over Houston Baptist Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Sharp Gym in Houston, the team's website reported.
Carter also recorded a rebound and one block for the Bearcats, who improved to 4-8 on the season.
Sam Houston State's next game is 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at home against A&M-Corpus Christ.
Carter, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for Sam Houston State University, is a 2010 graduate of Clear Creek High School. The League City native was a three-time All-District 24-5A selection during high school and was named the district's Defensive Player of the Year her sophomore and junior years.
