Clear Creek grad Carter plays in Sam Houston loss
Clear Creek High School graduate Nyha Carter scored three points as Sam Houston State lost 85-66 at home to UTEP Friday, Dec. 28, at Don Haskins Center, Sam Houston State's website reported.
Carter, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for Sam Houston State, also recorded a steal for the Bearkats, who are 3-8 on the season.
Sam Houston's next game is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2 at home against Houston Baptist.
Carter is a 2010 graduate of Clear Creek High School. The League City native was a three-time All-District 24-5A selection during high school and was named the district's Defensive Player of the Year her sophomore and junior years.
