Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre hosts more than 2,000 residents
The Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre had more than 2,000 area residents and guests attend the three-night performance of the classical ballet, "The Nutcracker," it was recently announced.
According to a Bay Area Houston Ballet and a Theatres press release, "The Nutcracker," which was partially underwritten by the Houston Endowment, the city of Baytown and San Jacinto Methodist Hospital, was held Dec. 14 to Dec. 16 at Lee College Performing Arts Center. The company's special "Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy," which provided children with an opportunity to enjoy tea and treats with ballet characters, was also filled to capacity."
"We are so grateful for the continued support of our industry partners and the Baytown community," said Scott Vernon, Performing Arts Center director, according to the release. "The response to recent performances has been overwhelmingly positive, and we hope to garner similar support for our spring shows."
Lee College Performing Arts Center is at 200 Lee Drive, Baytown.
