Bayport Cruise Terminal adds two cruise lines
Bayport Cruise Terminal recently added Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line to its list of companies offering cruises from the Bay Area.
According to the Port of Houston Authority's website, Princess Cruises will begin sailing in November 2013, while Norwegian Cruise Line ships will not embark until 2014. Tickets are available now for Princess Cruises' 26 scheduled trips, the website noted. Norwegian Cruise Line will begin selling tickets in December 2013 for its 75 cruises.
A press release from the Bay Area Houston Convention and Visitor's Bureau noted that Bayport Cruise Terminal is expected to bring $200 million to Houston. To boost the impact of the cruise terminal, the BAHCVB indicated in the release that it will soon be offering cruise packages, tours and more.
