Cameron Gilmore

Q: Who is your favorite athlete?
A: Kyrie Irving. I just love the way he handles the rock, and I try to model myself after him.

Q: Who is your greatest inspiration?
A: Probably my athletic director, Darwin Pennye. He leads in every way and shows his Christian character throughout sports and in the classroom. In everything he does, he shows the Christian way.

Q: What are your goals for this season?
A: A personal goal is to average a double-double every game. Last year, I averaged about 12 points per game, but assists-wise, I averaged about 8.3.

Q: How have your coaches made you a better player?
A: They push me and show me that it’s not all about talent. You have to work really hard and hustle.
