Clear Creek grad Carter plays in Sam Houston State University loss
Clear Creek High School graduate Nyha Carter contributed two points in Sam Houston State University's 61-71 loss to University of South Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Mitchell Center in Mobile, according to Sam Houston State University's website.
The Sam Houston State University junior forward also recorded one rebound and one assist for the Bearkats, who are 2-5 on the season.
Sam Houston State University's next game is 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 on the road against Texas Christian University.
Carter, a 5-foot-10 junior forward for Sam Houston State University, is a 2010 graduate of Clear Creek High School. The League City native was a three-time All-District 24-5A selection during high school and was named the district's Defensive Player of the Year her sophomore and junior years.
