Clear Lake grad Sutherland plays in US Coast Guard Academy loss
Victoria Sutherland, a graduate of Clear Lake High School, is a freshman guard on the U.S. Coast Guard Academy women's basketball team.
Clear Lake High School graduate Victoria Sutherland contributed 20 points in the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's 74-57 loss to conference opponent Smith College on Thursday, Dec. 6 in Northampton, Mass.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy freshman guard also recorded eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and a block for the Bears, who are 4-4 on the season and 2-2 in the NEWMAC, according to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy's website.
The U.S. Coast Guard Academy's next game is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9 against Connecticut College.
Sutherland, a 5-foot-9 freshman guard for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, graduated Clear Lake High School in 2012. She is a Houston native.
