Friendswood grad Neuman helps in Mississippi victory

Friendswood High School graduate Connor Neuman played for Mississippi College in a 76-70 win over conference opponent Howard Payne Thursday, Nov. 29 at Brownwood Coliseum in Brownwood, according to Mississippi College's website.

The sophomore guard helped Mississippi College remain unbeaten, with record of 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the American Southwest Conference. Mississippi College also played Saturday, Dec. 1 at Sul Ross State.

Neuman played at Friendswood High School for coach Darren Chandler in 2006-2010, and he holds the school record for most three-pointers made in a career. He was also Second Team All-District as both a junior (2008-2009) and senior (2009-2010). He is the son of Steve and Beverly Neuman.
