La Marque grad Lewis helps in Texas win
La Marque High School graduate Julien Lewis scored 10 points for the University of Texas in a 65-37 home win iver Sam Houston State University Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Erwin Center in Austin, according to the UT website.
Lewis also recorded four rebounds for the Longhorns, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
UT's next game is 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at home against Texas-Arlington.
Lewis is a sophomore guard for University of Texas at Austin.The Galveston native is a 2011 graduate of La Marque High School, where he was ranked as the No. 57 prospect by Rivals.com and the No. 76 prospect nationally in the ESPNU 100, following his senior season, when he averaged 25 points per game. Lewis is the son of Broderick Brown and Sharonda Lewis.
