Registration open for Growing Tomatoes from Seed program

Registration is under way for the Growing Tomatoes from Seed class on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Galveston County AgriLife Extension Office.

According to the extension office, Master Gardener Sam Scarcella will be the instructor. The class will discuss how to choose the best tomato varieties for the area, where to get seeds, planting and growing techniques, and insect and disease control.

The class will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. and is free of charge.

The Galveston County AgriLife Extension Office is located at 4102-B Main St., La Marque.
