Bay Area Christian School celebrates 40th anniversary
Bay Area Christian School held its 40th anniversary celebration Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9-10.
The celebration included a homecoming football game, which had a record attendance of 700 fans. The BACS Broncos defeated Woodlands Christian 49-14 to win the district championship. Halftime included a performance by the school band, the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and Princess, and a recognition ceremony for alumni from the classes of 1976-2012.
Two-hundred parents and alumni continued the celebration the following day at noon at the school's Worship Center. The celebration included worship services led by alumni Roger Cullins and Jennifer Sapaugh, and a presentation about the school's history by the BACS's founding pastor, Walter Davidson. Additionally, 40 BACS alumni were honored during the event for their post-graduate work.
