Clear Creek Community Council of PTAs approves High Stakes Testing Resolution

Meeting notes from the Clear Creek Community Council of PTAs general meeting, held Wednesday, Nov. 7, have been released.

The meeting took place at the Clear Creek ISD Education Support Center. Local unit presidents and delegates met with PTA board members for the business meeting, which was chaired by council president Elizabeth Clemente-Nelson.

Dr. Steven Ebell, Clear Creek ISD Deputy Superintendent, gave attendees a Status of the Direct and answered questions. Ty Burns, Director of Library Media Services, spoke about campus libraries and how volunteers can get involved.

A motion to adopt the High Stakes Testing Resolution was presented to the membership by CCCC first vice president Darlene Moore. The adoption of the resolution was then approved and the council will note the adoption to the Texas PTA and Clear Creek ISD.

Texas PTA second vice president Lisa Holbrook served as the meeting's guest speaker, presenting an overview of the variety of Texas PTA parent and student programs available to local units.
