Fifth-grader likes things that go boom!
Clear Lake City Elementary fifth-grader Andre Massicott is a well-rounded student with a variety of interests. He’s an avid football player for the Bay Area Texans, a local nonprofit organization, and is a library tech at his school. He’s also a straight-A student who’s favorite class is science. Why, you may ask? “My teachers are nice, and I like cool textures and explosions,” he said.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: “Well, let’s see. I have all A’s on my progress report. I’m an A/B student usually; I’m on safety patrol and (I’m) a library tech.” He also recently was named Student of the Week at his school.
FAVORITE THING TO DO AFTER SCHOOL: “I play football on the Bay Area Texans.”
FAVORITE MUSICAL ARTIST: “I like Bruno Mars.”
FAVORITE TV SHOW: “My favorite shows are on The Disney Channel.”
FAVORITE MOVIE: “My favorite movie is ‘Finding Nemo.’ “

FROM THE ADMINISTRATION: “(Andre is) an all-around great student who always has a smile on his face.”
AMBITION: “(I want to be a) football player or a lawyer,” said Andre. “A football player because I’m good at football or a lawyer because I’m good with arguments.”
