Clear Lake Regional Medical Center named top performer by Joint Commission
Clear Lake Regional Medical Center (CLRMC) recently was named one of the nation's top performers on key quality measures by the Joint Commission.
The commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations, cited the medical center for exemplary performance in using evidence-based clinical processes for its treatment programs, according to a press release.
CLRMC is one of 620 hospitals nationwide to be named a top performer, which recognizes high achievement in the treatment of heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care.
"We know that what's most important to our patients at CLRMC is safe, effective, high-quality care from a compassionate, skilled staff," said CLRMC CEO Stephen Jones Jr. in a press release. "We are steadfast in our commitment to accreditation and to positive patient outcomes through these evidence-based care processes."
The distinction from the Joint Commission comes after two additional recognitions for the hospital. CLRMC was named the safest hospital in Houston and one of the top five hospitals in Texas by Consumer Reports magazine in July.
The medical center also recently was included among the top 10 best hospitals in Houston by U.S. News and World Report.
"These formal recognitions are a result of the dedicated professionals who work very hard to provide a safe, secure environment and to deliver the highest quality healthcare available in the south Houston area," said CLRMC board chairman Rick Gornto in the release.
Clear Lake Regional Medical Center is at 500 Medical Center Blvd.
