Friendswood school bus hits stopped car

A Friendswood school bus crashed into the back of a car at the intersection of West Spreading Oaks and South Friendswood Drive Thursday afternoon, but no one was hurt.
No tickets were issued and no one was speeding, but Friendswood police said the bus driver, Wayne Schiller, 65, of Friendswood failed to control the speed of the bus.
The bus carrying about 18 students from Friendswood Junior High was traveling eastbound on West Spreading Oaks when the wreck occurred around 4:12 p.m.
Police said the bus rolled into the rear of a 2008 BMW stopped at the traffic light at South Friendswood Drive. The BMW was driven by Lisa Courtin, 47, of Friendswood.
