Racial graffiti discovered at Heritage Park

League City police are investigating a racial slur spray-painted at Heritage Park.
The vandalism at the park, 524 N. Wisconsin Avenue, occurred between 7 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Monday, League City Police Sgt. David Hausam said.
The slur against African-Americans was written in green paint on the north outside wall of the park's bathroom.
It was painted over Monday by city employees as soon it was discovered, city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt said.
The racial slur is the latest incident in a rash of graffiti that has plagued League City recently, but the first reported racial slur.
Police do not have any suspects so far in the spray-painting in the Heritage Park incident, but do have an officer assigned to the graffiti cases, Hausam said.
The role of graffiti is to cause alarm," Hausam said. With it being at the park, they're not specifically going after an individual, but they also know that there's a likelihood that someone's going to see it that's going to be offended."
