David Weekley Homes held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 29 for its new model home in Grand Cay Harbour.
The ribbon cutting was at a two-story model home called the Oceanside. The design puts rooms such as the kitchen, family room and dining room on the second floor to take advantage of the views of the harbor and the neighborhood.
More than 70 people attended the event, including representatives from the Texas City Chamber of Commerce, Texas City Mayor Matthew Doyle and many others.
Weekley will be offering new homes on 45- and 60-foot homesites in Grand Cay Harbour ranging from 1,530 to 3,100 square feet.
The company began construction in Grand Cay Harbour in May with 500 homes planned for the development. Many will overlook Dollar Bay, Moses Lake and Galveston Bay.
