League City launches quality-of-life campaign

League City has launched a new initiative aimed at residents living healthy, keeping the city clean, and being environmentally friendly.
The effort is called Lean. Clean. Green."
Each city department is participating by finding ways to incorporate the philosophy into their work habits, city spokeswoman Kristi Wyatt said.
They are also providing tips for residents, who are asked to register for the initiative here.
Those who register will receive information on "Lean.Clean.Green." activities, volunteer opportunities and clean-up days hosted by the city.
This is an opportunity to make a difference in your community," Wyatt said. League City is a great place to live and we want it to stay that way. That's why we're asking residents to conserve and to keep our city beautiful by keeping it clean. We also want everyone to live an active lifestyle to be able to enjoy the amenities that League City provides like our parks, trails and other outdoor activities."
The city will have a new "Lean. Clean. Green." video segment that will debut every weekday through Earth Day in April on the city's public access channel, which is Channel 16 for Comcast customers. They will also be available on the city's Facebook page, its YouTube channel, and LeagueCity.com.
The segments will include $ave Green," Building Green," Fashionably Green," Walk in the Park," Lean.Clean.Green. Kids," Ask the Arborist," Dinner Tonight," and Exercise Segments with Tracey Mallett."
