Attention, Clear Lake rockhounds. It's almost time to shop, swap and ogle.
The 35th annual Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Show's coming to the Pasadena Convention Center, 7902 Fairmont Parkway.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28.
Admission is $5 for adults (good for both days of the show), $1 for students ages 12-17 and children are free. Parking is free, too.
The Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education to the public regarding the earth sciences. It provides scholarships at local colleges and universities for people studying the earth sciences, sponsors public presentations by experts in the earth sciences and makes donations to elementary and middle school libraries needing earth science related books.
The Clear Lake Gem and Mineral Society meets at 7:30 p.m. the third Monday of each month at the Clear Lake Park Building, 5001 NASA Parkway.
