Deputies hunting for 2 wanted for assault here

Houston Crime Stoppers and the Harris County Sheriff's Office are on the hunt for 452 fugitives wanted for felony aggravated assault, including two Clear Lake cases.
"Some of these cases do speak to a homicide that didn't occur only because the victim survived and so those are the cases we want to put at the top of the list," Sheriff Adrian Garcia told KTRK.
The two men wanted in two separate aggravated assault cases in the Clear Lake area are Fernando Sontay and Gary Howarth.
Sontay, 27, of Webster, is accused of stabbing a man multiple times with a broken beer bottle on Sept. 2, 2008, in the parking lot of Skylar Pointe Apartments, 1110 El Camino Village Drive in Houston, said Amy Smith, Houston Crime Stopper's director of public relations. Sontay had been drinking and argued with the victim prior to the stabbing, she said.
Sontay is described as a Hispanic male who is 5-foot-2 and 140 pounds. He has a light complexion with brown eyes and black hair.
Howarth, 21, of Galveston, was playing billiards at Sherlock's Pub, 2416 Bay Area Boulevard in Houston, on Dec. 28, 2009, when he and another man bumped in to each other, Smith said. The other man apologized and then asked Howarth if he wanted to step outside.
While the man continued to play billiards, Howarth punched him in the face, Smith said. The victim suffered a jaw injury that required surgery.
Howarth is described as white male who is 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds. He has a light complexion with blue eyes and brown hair.
Those with information about the whereabouts of Sontay and Howarth are asked to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
