Lakewood Yacht Clubs opens registration for 26th Harvest Moon
Registration is open for the 26th annual Harvest Moon event by the Lakewood Yacht Clubs.
The gathering will take place from 7-10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Seahorse Pavilion on the south end of the Lakewood Yacht Clubs property, 2425 Nasa Parkway in Seabrook.
The event is designed to encourage racers in the Lakewood Yacht Clubs Harvest Moon Regatta to sign up early.
According to texascoastyachts.com, the Harvest Moon Regatta is a 153-mile Category Three open regatta along the Texas Gulf Coast from Galveston Island to Port Aransas. It is open to racing, cruising, spinnaker and non-spinnaker sailing yachts which are at least 27 feet LOD, and carrying a minimum crew of four.
"This first-time event is to encourage racers to sign up for our Harvest Moon Regatta as early as possible this year," said co-founder of Lakewood Yacht Clubs Harvest Moon Regatta John Broderick.
The party is free to all early registrants and will feature music, food, Bacardi Rum and photo opportunities with the Bacardi girls.
