Take tour, raise glass at Haak Winery
Haak Vineyards and Winery is a 12-acre "destination" winery conveniently tucked between Houston and Galveston.
The winery makes approximately 60 percent of its wines from a disease-resistant variety of white grapes known as Blanc Du Bois. They also offer the only Madeira made in the state of Texas.
On weekends, the winery hosts wine tastings, weddings, corporate meetings, social gatherings, live music and other special events. Haak Vineyards and Winery's annual harvest celebration, held the first Saturday of July, draws approximately 100 visitors each year.
