Kids U Technology campers learn the art of filmmaking
UH-CL Kids U Technology student Leah Lauderdale photographs a scene from her movie before repositioning her characters to continue her stop-motion video creation.
The University of Houston-Clear Lake recently held an introduction to claymation class at its Kids U Technology Camp.
Students learned the basics of filmmaking. They created storyboards, designed sets and molded their own characters from clay. Eventually, members of the camp were able to film their own movies and hone their directing and producing skills.
UH-CL has been hosting educational summer enrichment programs for nearly 30 years. More than 77 classes have been offered to participants in prekindergarten through 12th grade. For more information, visit uhcl.edu or call 281-283-2015.
