Thief tries to steal security company's van

Vans belonging to ADT Security Services will never make the top 10 list of most stolen vehicles, but at least one car thief wasn't daunted by the fact that ADT is in the burglar-alarm business.
League City Police Lt. Bruce Whitten said an attempted theft of an ADT van occurred between 8 p.m. Monday and 10:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Loch Lomond Drive.
The 2008 Ford Econoline van's ignition had scratch marks and its cover was broken off, but no items were taken from the van.
