$500 stolen from pocket of sleeping man

A League City man woke up this weekend to find someone had stolen $500 from his pocket while he was sleeping.
League City Police Lt. Bruce Whitten said the man went to sleep at 10 p.m. Saturday in his apartment in the 100 block of Texas Avenue, with his wallet and the money in his pocket.
When he awoke Sunday at 8 a.m., the wallet was still in his pocket, but the $500 was gone.
It's kind of unusual," Whitten said.
