Camp Bow Wow throws Valentine's party

Camp Bow Wow Kemah will host its annual Cupids and Canines adoption party on Saturday, Feb. 13.
The free event will run from noon to 4 p.m. at the dog-boarding facility, 300 Anders Lane in Kemah.
Owner Jennifer Zuniga said the event is designed to match adoptable dogs with owners and to raise funds for the League City Animal Shelter. Donations of dog food, food bowls, lightly used dog collars and dog leashes will also be taken.
Among the groups that will take part in the event are Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas, Weimaraner of Texas, Noah's Ark Bayou Sanctuary and Dachshund Rescue.
There will be also be vet services, pet grooming, micro-chipping and pet sitters. Drawings will be held for Camp Bow Wow gift certificates for dog daycare and overnight boarding, and there will be goody bags for dogs.
