Mother and daughter murdered [update]

Houston police say a man shot and killed his estranged wife and her teen-age daughter, then kidnapped his 2-year-old son at an apartment near Ellington Airport last night.
After issuing an Amber Alert, DPS troopers found the toddler unharmed in Wharton County, where the suspect was taken into custody while he was trying to buy ammunition at Wal-Mart.
Houston police say Jaime Piero Cole, 39, will face capital murder charges in the deaths of his wife, Melissa Dawn Cole, 31, and her daughter, Alecia Desire Castillo, 15.
The deadly family dispute took place at an apartment complex in the 700 block of FM 1959, which is on Dixie Farm Road between the Gulf Freeway and the Highway 3.
Houton police gave the following account of what happened:
The suspect and his estranged wife got into an argument when he arrived at her apartment to drop off their 2-year-old and 10-year-old sons. The argument briefly stopped when Melissa's daughter Alecia intervened, but continued again outside.
As the argument escalated, Alecia again intervened. Jamie Cole then shot Melissa and Alecia and fled the scene, taking his youngest son with him.
The youngest boy was recovered when his father was taken into custody, and both sons are now with relatives.
